“As the city is the collective memory of the people, it can be said that the city is also related to the memories of objects and places. The city is the location of the collective memory.” said Aldo Rossi. In other words, the city is a collection that contains many spatial and objective elements when considered as a whole. “Connection” and “permeability” come to mind as two of the most important themes that will ensure the integration of the elements.

In every environment where there is environmental awareness, an isolation that will provide concentration inside the building, as well as a setup that will integrate with the exterior gains importance. The physical connection alone will not be enough to create this integration, because the weaknesses to be created in this respect will also herald the areas that will become idle. The curiosity, interest and orientation of the communities is the most important factor that will strengthen this fiction. Today, the sharp separation of the city and the green from each other and the limited physical interaction cause people and urban life to slowly move away from nature, even to break away.

We propose a sustainable urban approach that allows for the re-establishment and revitalization of physical as well as visual, easily accessible connections, to facilitate the access of the society to these recreation areas, to strengthen these weakened ties and to allow them to be repaired again. The main purpose of our project is to make a design that feeds and develops with these two important concepts and prepares the ground for various sports activities, instead of turning our backs on these two important concepts. While Reşat Oyal Culture Park presents a definition and texture of green space, Çarşamba region represents a construction and urban texture. Sports activities, which are our basic functions, play a role that softens the contrast of these two concepts, forming a transition line.
